Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel - Review

Wednesday, 6 June 2018

If you read my post on the Garnier Moisture Bomb, you will know that I love anything that contains Hyaluronic Acid. It is my power ingredient this winter.  An ingredient that can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water.

Because I have oily skin, I feel that normal moisturisers tend to sit on the surface of my skin and don't penetrate. When I heard about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, I was intrigued.

Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Water Gel instantly quenches dry skin and keeps it looking smooth, supple and hydrated day after day. Our award-winning and best selling water gel formula absorbs quickly and instantly delivers intense hydration. And it contains hydrating hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the skin and acts as a sponge, absorbing up to 1,000 times its weight in water. This formula leaves skin more supple and smooth.

What I love about this moisturiser is that it is oil free and non-comedogenic, which means it will not cause pimples and breakout. Something my skin is prone to every time I try new skincare products.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is light and you will only need the smallest amount. I don't dip my finger into the tub instead I shake the gel and then use from the lid. This way I don't waste as much product. Using it like this, I estimate that this will last me about 2 months. And for only R 140.00 I would say it is a bargain.

When applied to the skin, it feels so cooling. Once it has been rubbed in, your skin feels so nourished and surprisingly you skin is matte. Great for us ladies who have the tendency to get oily during the day.

Another thing I love about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel  is the fact that it has a continuous release system, meaning it continues to release moisture throughout the day. With other moisturisers I feel the need to reapply moisturiser during the day. With the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, my skin feel soft, silky and hydrated.

I have recommended it to all my friends and I would definitely recommend it to you. Especially if you hate the feel of heavy moisturisers.
